Similar to Little Lime®, the blooms begin with lime green, but they mature a little differently. Flowers change progressively from the bottom up in a gorgeous array of white, light pink, and rich Hawaiian Punch red! As it reblooms throughout the summer you'll see these four colours mix to give you a gorgeous show in the landscape. This hydrangea has a compact habit and strong stems. The most important rule of all hydrangeas is water, hence the name “hydra” meaning water; hydrangeas are very thirsty. They love the sun, but in a hot spot, adequate water is needed, or the blooms will brown up fast. Adequate water will keep your blooms beautiful right up to the lst hard frost. You may choose to leave the blooms on for beautiful winter interest in the garden. Flowers will remain on the tree all year and create nice winter interest. Mature flowers make beautiful dried bouquets and arrangements. PeeGee Hydrangeas do best in slightly acidic soil, but it is not necessary to amend your soil. Leaves turn yellow adding to the Fall colour in the landscape along with the pinkish blooms.
