A narrow columnar evergreen with greyish-green foliage in the Eastern Red Cedar family of which they are actually a Juniper species. It paints your landscape with a very vertical, delicate, fine texture among other trees and shrubs. Junipers are very adaptable to both dry and moist growing conditions, but will not tolerate any standing water. Once established junipers are very drought resistant. They are not particular as to soil type or pH, and this species is Black Walnut tolerant.
