This form of Sungold Threadleaf False Cypress has fine, almost string-like, golden ball pruned foliage. Ideal for colour and texture detail in the garden. Best planted in a protected area from strong winds, and from hot, scorching sun. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type, but has a definite preference for acidic soils. Light shearing will create a more compact, rounded shrub, which is best done early spring before the onset of new growth. In Fall, it would be recommended to wrap with burlap, to protect from winter wind, and/ or a wooden structure to protect from heavy snow.
