Description:
The Blue Diamond Spruce is a slow-growing, dwarf selection of the Colorado blue spruce, with outstanding silver-blue foliage. Its dramatic coloring is outstanding in any landscape.
Full sun brings out the best colour and structure of Blue Diamond Spruce. It grows in any well-drained soil, including heavy soils, rocky soils, and sand, and resists cold and strong winds. Once established it is drought resistant, is rarely bothered by insects or diseases, and is also deer resistant. No trimming is required. Adequate weekly water is needed to establish the root system when planting. A good watering every Fall, if rainfall doesn’t come, and a burlap wrap over winter for the lst year is recommended.
