Description:
Steel blue needles adorn this tree even through the winter. The new needles in spring are an even bluer colour providing a two-tone blue look. A slower-growing variety of the Colorado Blue, but it can grow to a good size in the right conditions. It is much denser than Colorado Spruce.
It is tolerant of salt and deer. It is also drought tolerant once established. Adequate weekly water is needed to establish the root system when planted. A good watering every Fall, if rainfall doesn’t come, and a burlap wrap or screen, over winter for the lst year is beneficial.
