Description:
Blue, gem-like colour combined with a slow rate of growth makes ‘Zafiro’ suited for gardens with limited space. This is a suitable substitution for a dwarf globe Blue Spruce, with a rounded pyramidal form. Provides a brilliant focal point in the garden.
Little pruning is needed other than removing any dieback, and perhaps shortening any branch to maintain the shape. Do not take shears to this beautiful shrub. It is very adaptable to both dry and moist soils, but will not tolerate standing water conditions. It is not particular as to soil type or pH and is salt tolerant, as well as deer resistant.
